my culture calls me
'confused' and 'lazy'
the church says
'damned'
my loved ones
'crazy'
i know at best
i may seem hazy.
but i know
what lies inside.

mis-understood and
-represented
sometimes the truth
becomes fragmented
and so it seems
a bit demented.

become quiet
and recentered
and it all falls
into place.
